Depart from Gondar in the morning and drive to Debark, the park headquarters (about 2.5–3 hours). Complete registration and meet your local guide and scout. Continue driving into the park toward Sankaber, where you’ll take a light hike to enjoy the dramatic scenery of cliffs and escarpments. Along the way, you’ll see Gelada baboons, incredible birdlife, and panoramic views. Overnight at Sankaber campsite or Lodge, based on your preference.
After breakfast, enjoy a moderate morning hike deeper into the park to see features like Jinbar Waterfall or additional viewpoints. After lunch, drive back to Debark and continue on to Gondar, arriving in the late afternoon.
