Tour Plan
Depart from Gondar and drive to Debark, the Simien park office. After registration, continue into the park toward Sankaber. Enjoy your first hike (about 2-3 hours) along the escarpment with panoramic views and encounters with Gelada baboons. Overnight camping or lodge stay at Sankaber.
Start trekking deeper into the park through open highlands and stunning mountain scenery. Visit the impressive Jinbar Waterfall, and possibly spot birds of prey like lammergeiers. Reach Geech Camp, set in a beautiful Afro-alpine meadow. Overnight camping at Geech.
Today is a highlight hike to the Imet Gogo viewpoint, one of the most spectacular spots in the Simien Mountains. Return to Geech Camp for overnight. This day is a loop hike that maximizes wildlife and scenic experience.
Trek back from Geech to Sankaber, enjoying one last look at the dramatic highlands. Drive from Sankaber to Debark, then return to Gondar in the afternoon.
