Begin your morning in Gondar, Ethiopia's historic royal capital. Visit the impressive Royal Enclosure (Fasil Ghebbi), home to castles built by Emperor Fasilides and his descendants. Continue to Debre Berhan Selassie Church, famous for its ceiling of angelic faces. Then explore Fasilides’ Bath, an iconic ceremonial pool used during Timket.
After lunch, depart for Gorgora, a peaceful village on the northern tip of Lake Tana (approx. 1.5–2 hrs drive). Visit the Debre Sina Monastery, known for its traditional circular architecture and vivid murals. Enjoy a relaxed evening at the lakefront with opportunities for birdwatching or sunset views.
Overnight in Gorgora (Lodge or Guesthouse).
Start the day with a leisurely breakfast by the lake. Optional short boat ride on Lake Tana or walk along the lakeshore to spot aquatic birds and take in the peaceful scenery.
Later, return by road to Gondar. Arrive in the afternoon for optional shopping or free time in the city.
